Dave Jones and The Pond Professional team began work on the project on Tuesday unloading two (2) tractor trailer loads of Rock.
The third load came in on Wednesday morning. Most of the attendees were driving/flying in on Wednesday and began work as soon as they arrived.
Thursday morning, each attendee was served breakfast around 9:00.
The site was a little on the muddy side, however it did not stop the guys from moving forward.
First order of business was to go over the Architect's plans to make sure everyone was on the same page.
The skimmers were set and the pond was taking shape.
Atlanta Koi Club President David Boyd helps out on the grill for lunch. While Atlanta Koi Club member, Doug Tatz stops by for a chat.
Now that the liner is removed it is time to start work on the "Cement Pad" for the filtration equipment to sit on
.
Since we are messing with "CEMENT" let's set the skimmers. This is the first of three "WATERWAY" skimmers the IPPCA used on this pond.
The "BOTTOM DRAIN" is starting to be installed.
Worked progressed through out the day and the rock retaining wall/falls was starting to form by the end of the day, which was cut short by a strong thunderstorm.
The guys quickly cover up the fresh dug pond with the liner and wait for the rain to stop, which it didn't for some time.
