Saturday was welcomed with sunshine and almost dry ground.  We had received just over 3" of rain this week and with bare dirt, what a muddy mess it was earlier this week.  Today we have to complete the pond and have the pumps up and running.  Will we make it?

First call of duty was breakfast.  Today's breakfast was a special breakfast of Homemade Biscuits & Gravy by David Pugh and David Boyd, Atlanta Koi Club members and truly awesome cooks.  Though the food was awesome the guys still ate in shifts.

While some stopped for breakfast others were setting rocks.

While others were working on the plumbing.

Then there were others who were just looking at the pond

Will full tummies and a lot of work to do, the contractors Dig right in and start to work.

With breakfast over and cleaned up David and Peggy decide to take a break and have a bird's eye view of the pond build.

The water wheel donated by Black Mountain Timberworks has arrived and is ready to be placed in the bog garden.

But first we must build the bog. First you dig it.

Then you shape it.

Then prepare the falls area

Get the plumbing cut to the right size.  David Pugh puts his "FOOT" into this job.

All the while the bog is being build, the main pond is being rinsed down, filled, rinsed down until it is cleaned.

The endless job of watching the pond fill up.

Now we are ready for underlayment, liner then wash it.

Now the plumbing.

Now Rock It!

And Rock It!

Moving the water wheel into place and hooking up the water source.

Now to the Gravel.

We are almost there.

Larry Moore gets caught cooling off.

A few more rocks around the edges along with some mulch and. . . . . . .

Plug those pumps in Mike, Dave and James

Larry tweaks out the falls.

The group that made it happen. Thank You.

We ended the day with another fine meal.
